Meet the Band: Category 5 and the Storm Horns
Category 5 & The Storm Horns is a Treasure Coast based Blues Band. Established in 2008 They have performed from Gainesville Florida down to Boca Raton Florida. Their home town favorite regular venues are Waldo’s and Crawdaddys! The Band is headed up by Al Nawrocki (Band Leader) bass man, vocalist, and booking agent for the band. Gerry Mullaney is the guitarist, vocalist, James Archer on tenor sax, and Mark Patten on drums.
They feature a horn section that can include trumpet and trombone player.This is as Bluesy as it gets. They also kick butt with some swing, r&b, and jazz instrumentals!

Flat Natural Band to play at Friday Fest

MEET THE BAND – The Flat Natural Band

The Flat Natural Band is a spinoff of the “Out on Bail” band. The band plays music with the focus being geared toward traditional country and rock. Bruce Hunter, a Gary Stewart protege’, leads most of the songs with vocals and rhythm guitar. Bill Smith plays lead guitar along with guitar whiz Keith Whalen, and Neil Santel on drums and Steve Hansen on Bass make up the rhythm section. David Williams solos on harmonica and vocals.

Main Street Fort Pierce & Above Average Entertainment will host the Taste of the Sea & Sandy Shoes Seafood Festival on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 10 am to 10 pm. The Festival hosts the Treasure Coast Chowder Cup Competition, the Iron Chef Competition, the annual Grapefruit Squeeze-Off Contest, boat loads of seafood, an arts and crafts show, and local musical talent. This event is located  in Veteran’s Memorial Park, next to the beautiful Indian River Lagoon, in beautiful Historic Downtown Fort Pierce.

Anderson Council will be performing at Friday Fest in Fort Pierce on January 6th, 2017, from 5:30-9:00 pm. Come on out and celebrate the New Year with Anderson Council!

Anderson Council has played Friday Fest every January for many years. They are a five piece cover band and play a variety of music for all ages. The band members are: Bill Few on Guitar, Diane Few, Vocals and Keyboards, Robert Biegel, Bass Guitar, Joe Cabral, Drums and Vocals, plus Rocky Shampine, Guitar and Vocals. They play classic and new rock music featuring song’s by Pink Floyd, Foreigner, Eagles, Collective Soul, Pat Benatar and many more.

Downtown Fort Pierce came alive on Sunday, December 4, 2016 as thousands of people joined the City of Fort Pierce, The Fort Pierce Sunrise Kiwanis and Main Street Fort Pierce for the 28th Annual Sights and Sounds on Second Festival and Parade. Common Ground Vineyard Church started the day with an outdoor service, Santa arrived at the festival at 1:30 and local dance groups performed for the crowd as excitement built for the main event the Holiday Parade. This year’s parade was the biggest yet with 95 entries, 2400 participants and 61 horses. Immediately following the parade Mayor Linda Hudson, and Santa lit the Christmas tree and the Holiday Lights at Marin Square (Holiday Lights will run through January 8, 2017)
