About the Artist:
Mary Fragapane has a unique vision for public art, viewing her pieces not with the eye of the artist but instead through the eyes of the public for which they are created.
It’s this unique perspective that makes her vibrant compositions pulse with a creative energy that draws the viewer in.
“The great thing about public art is that people get excited about it;
it gives them a sense of pride in their community and touches their lives in a way that a painting that hangs in a gallery can’t.
It’s the appreciation of what a great mural or other piece of public art means to the people’s lives it inhabits that drives me to create this kind of work.” Mary’s studio
in Bradenton Florida’s Village of the Arts is open to the public.
