“Late Night Sessions”

“I selected to paint my studio at night to bring out the natural light from the moon and the artificial illumination from my studio. It was the place where a lot of my professional art career was created.”

About the Artist

I grew up in the salty, smelly marshes of South Carolina. After moving to a small beach town named Jupiter. I found my young adult life immersed in the sun and beach cultures. As a young man, I grew to love nature and different environments. I used that love for nature to reinforce my creative side. Being influenced by the Highwaymen group and Impressionism I wanted to leave a lasting record of Florida through my artwork. I use different paint techniques and treat the piece almost as a sculpture, chipping away the spatial plane with bright variants of color and subtle detail. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2006 and have been published and selected for projects with historical societies and private collectors. I currently live near the salty air in Brevard County and create work from all Florida.
